These 3 products keeps us ready for the unexpected!

As a travelling family we have gone through a lot of travel products through the years – but some of them have been true life savers. Wherever we go – far away or a local get away – we always prioritize to bring these 3 things for our family.

Number One – Hypochlorous acid

This antimicrobial multi-task product is the best thing since the pandemic’s harsh and drying disinfectants!

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a natural, powerful yet non-toxic antimicrobial that is produced by the human immune system. It is a weak acid used in skincare, wound healing, and general disinfection to kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It is safe on skin, pH neutral, does not require rinsing making it great for travel. It also possesses anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce redness, swelling, and irritation associated with various skin conditions like acne, eczema and rosacea.

We use it for disinfecting hands, small wounds, bites, sunburn, surfaces and I personally also use it on acne and redness on my face. I can truly say that I will never leave my home without Hypochlorous acid!

When looking for a Hypochlorous Acid, look for 100% pure Hypochlorous Acid that is advised for skin like this SterilOx Natural Spray or Briotech Topical Skin Spray.

Or if you reside i Sweden, I recommend EkoDes Hypochlorous Acid.

Number Two – Refillable water bottles in stainless steel

They are with us on every trip – on hikes, on roadtrips, going to the beach, travel by train and flight and more.

And the pro’s with these kinds of bottles are many: Stainless steel bottles are durable and more hygienic and easy to wash, they are cheaper in the long run, keeps your water colder for a longer time, and probably much healthier to drink from than plastic bottles.

We are so happy with our bottles from Klean Kanteen so we really want to recommend them! We have had them since the kids were little and you can see on the picture they are still going strong, only small dents and scrapes. The only thing we have done to them is to change the sippy caps to the sport caps when the kids got older. And we love that they have a loop in the cap so you easily can attach them to bags or strollers together with a carabiner. And the caps are BPA free and easy to wash.

They are available in adult version and kids versions with zippy cap or sport cap. And they come in many colors and motifs!

Number Three – Wet Wipes

“But you don’t have any small babies anymore?”
I can say – that doesn’t matter! Kids are messy higher up in ages as well.

Wet wipes have saved many situations for us. We use it for everything from being able to wipe off smudged ice creams, spilled food and dirty hands to wipe off surfaces, freshen up and even as emergency toilet paper (of course thrown in the trash afterwards if not flushable).

Our best advice is to use the more natural wipes that is often free from perfume or harsh ingredients. Like the Water Wipes , Huggies Pure or Eco By Naty Flushable wipes.
